Huge Indonesian Volcano Activates 21 Additional Volcano's, Kills About 500

Deafening explosions of hot gas rattled evacuees miles from an Indonesian volcano Monday.

The country claimed increased rumblings at 21 different active volcanoes, making them think about what's causing the increased activity along some of the world's most volatile fault lines.

No casualties were reported in Mount Merapi's latest explosion, which came as Indonesia struggles to react to an earthquake-generated tsunami that destroyed a distant row of islands.

The two events have slain nearly 500 people. About 69,000 towns people have been evacuated.
